Butter London Dodgy Barnett

Hello Lovelies! Today I have another of Butter Londons amazing holos!

This beautiful silver holo is Dodgy Barnett, 3 coats, and no top coat.

I will leave the photos to do the rest of the talking! I love the rainbow this one offers. I have also found that Butter Londons holos do not seem to mute with top coats as with other holos.

Butter London Bluey

What an unproductive weekend! I am still trying to recuperate from being sick, so I only managed to cut the pattern on the fabric. But on the upside - there's only pinning and sewing to go! For those of you just tuning in, I am sewing a poodle skirt for Halloween. Then today at work, my brain was on zombie mode. I couldn't speak, type, and I had my share of "derp" moments! I am VERY glad that it is over! I am just anxious for the fiance to get home, have dinner and a very much needed beer!

So I have another amazing Butter London to share, Bluey! This is a fantastic metallic, sparkly blue! The application on this one is a bit sheer, so it used an extra coat to even everything out. Enjoy this lovely blue!

Butter London All Hail the Queen with a Feather!!

Today I bring you my new all time favorite nude-like polish! I always felt a little odd and awkward wearing nude color lacquers. This one? I adore it!! I love the shimmer that sets this apart! I also found it to be a wonderful opportunity to try out the feather mani! I have had a bag of feathers from the craft store sitting in my nail art drawer for months and I had to try it out!! There really isnt much more to say about this one - its a beautiful polish, with the same wonderful formula we love from Butter London. Ill let the photos do the rest of the talking!

Bundle Monster Plate BM307
Mash Nail Art Polish in Black

Later that day I was wanting to play with my new stamp plates, but couldn't bring myself to removing this beautiful lacquer - so I gave myself an accent nail with this freaking adorable little octopus on my ring fingers. I used Mash's nail art polish for stamping.

My thoughts:
Honestly, Butter London has done very nicely with their holographic formula. I used my trusty Essie All In One base coat, which leave a slightly tacky finish. All 4 coats applied wonderfully, with no dragging or pulling, even with as sheer as it is. I used 4 coats to hide my nail line. A day after wearing this I did at a top coat of Seche Vite to provide a little more protection as I had entered the work week. The holo was not altered or dulled at all. Once the top coat dried it gave me a glossy finish with the same holo sparkle. This wore for almost a full week at work! I had some wear on my tips, as I always do, from typing, but I didn't have any peeling, cracking or flaking until about the 5th day of wear.

I was very impressed and pleased with this lacquer! I have their silver holo to share with you next week, Dodgy Barnett. The next one I would like to pick up is Fishwife, a light blue holo!

Have you tried any of Butter London's new holographics? What are your thoughts?

Butter London Two Fingered Salute!!

A huge excitement of the morning  My fiance was awesome enough to take me to Nordstrom to see if I could luck out to find this in stock. This is a Nordstrom exclusive, and it has sold out online once for an attempted purchase. To make it more fun, the two awesome ladies that helped me out were both completely in awe of this new color, and hadn't seen it yet. I just love running into another nail polish lover - I feel like we can talk for hours! Then RJ, as amazing as he is, pulls out some of the cards that I made for the site and handed them out. Yep, my fiance carries my cards! Just a great morning full of warm-fuzzies!

So enough with the chatter about my morning, its time to see one of my new favorites!!

Top Coat - NYC In a New York Minute Quick Dry

This is a beautiful pale green full of small purple and copper glitter, mixed with tiny green glitter. It reminds me of antiqued copper.

I saw some other swatches of this amazing lacquer with a matte top coat and I couldn't resist. I topped this mani off with one coat Butter London Matte Finish. I LOVE IT!

First sponge gradient attempt!

I was very excited with how well this came out! This was another day in the 31 Day Challenge.

Base - Butter London Knees Up
Tips - OPI INK
Top Coat - SV

Once my base color was dried I tore up a few small pieces from a triangle beauty sponge, dipped them into my new color and lightly sponges at the very tips. I went back a second time and did the same but from the tip down a little lower, and then the same for the third to create this effect.

a slang word for Money.... (pic heavy!)

...the definition of Dosh, a beautiful shimmery green by Butter London. This is a lovely pea green with a green, gold, and orange shimmer to it.

See for yourself!

I used 3 coats of Butter London - Dosh topped with a coat of Seche Vita.

After wearing this for a day, my mani ADD kicked in (many of you know what I mean!) and i have to change it up - its such a lovely green I didn't want to take it off....so I added to it!

I used Sinful Colors Nail Art striper in Pot O Gold, followed with a top coat of Seche Vita

I really enjoy this color, and it looks amazing with gold - I think next time I'll use a shimmery orange for accent!

First gradient attempt...and some water decal fun!

I needed to change up my mani last night and couldn't really decide what I wanted to do. I was looking though one of my drawers and grabbed Butter London Disco Biscuit and decided to do something this this lovely as I havent used it yet. I thought that this would be a fun one to try out a gradient with since its such a fun and sparkly color.

I completely missed the side of my middle finger somehow - this is what I get for playing video games while I polish - Im sure I wasnt paying the best attention. My thumb didnt come out so well either. But overall I ave very pleased with the results being my firts try and all!

So here are the pics!

I used 3 coats of Butter London Disco Biscuit
1 coat of Gelous
Topped off with a coat of SV

Here are some close up shots of the decals I used. They were very easy to use, and the final result looked great!

These are water decals that I picked up from KK CenterHK They are located in Hong Kong, they were very easy to order from and it took about 10 days to get to me. I got this along with some other typed of nail decals, and nail tape. They have a very fun selection and the prices are great, even with shipping!

A couple recent hauls!

From Thursday evening! The lady at Sallys Beauty was AWESOME and not only did I get the China Glaze's $1 off from my Beauty Club card, but they had a coupon for $1 off a bottle of Chine Glaze and she let me use it for all 4 of bottles I got from there! It is almost cruel to have a Sallys Beauty Supply in the same shopping center as an Ulta. Eeeeeeevilll!
From Ulta (on each end): Butter London - Knackered and First Mate (drk blue)
From Sallys (they had the Electropop line FINALLY!) center 4 from L to R:
Gothic Lolita, Aquadelic, Electric Beat, and Flying Dragon

And THEN, RJ and I swung through the Ulta in another part of the valley to see what they had. This location tends to have additional lines out. The one by me seems to be 2 weeks behind with things sometimes.
They had the OPI Holland Collection so I picked up I Dont Give A Rotterdam. Also Layla 07 Metallic Sky, and Butter London Disco Biscuit. RJ grabbed 2 from the OPI Designer Series Mystery and Reserve for me!

I cannot wait to try these out. I also have some nail mail on the way - so I should be set for something new to try out for a while!

Quite possibly one of my new favorites!

I had very anxiously awaited for the Ulta by me to have the Butter London spring line available. When I went, as told in a previous post, they didn't have any out and i had to request to get Slapper. I went in earlier this week to see what they had out planning on picking up Disco Biscuit. They had the line out, and I picked up Knackered while glancing at the other. I was in love with the sparkles that shone through the iridescent purple and green (Yes, I suffer from "Ooooh shiny!" I didn't hesitate to make this choice and decided to get Disco Biscuit this weekend.

This is after 3 coats, and a top coat of Seche Vita. I tried my best to catch the colors the best I could, but i am slowly learning that my camera tends to favor certain colors! Next set of swatching I do I'm swiping the fiances'! The colors change from light purple to teal and then to an olive green. I wore this to work all day today and enjoyed the colors in the different lights. What makes this so fun is the holographic glitter in it, and theres just the right amount to create even distribution.

I truly enjoyed wearing this polish, and know I will use it a lot. Its officially in my top favorites!!

Double Nail Mail!

I got to come home to these tonight!

My first ManGlaze order! I picked up Leabihonest and Cabron. I was way impressed with their packagaing! There were 4 biz cards, a logo guitar pick and a sticker - which went straight onto the lids of on of my polish bins!
The Goodies!

Cabron

Lesbihonest

My Revlon Whimsical also arrived and I was expecting a couple more days for that to arrive. Its always such a treat when things arrive early!

I cant wait to swatch these 3! Now to chose what first!! Now until then, as I mentioned in my last post, I have more swatches to share!

First is Revlon Starry Pink. I really like this color. Its a nice light pink with silver small glitter and larger octagon shaped glitter. The formula is a bit thin, but I'm sure its so that glitter can sparkle through. I used OPI Alpine Snow as a base and used one coat of the Starry Pink. I think next time I will use one of my lighter pinks instead.

Next is Julep Megan.

This was my first experience with Juleps lacquer. This came from my first Maven box, along with a Fast Dry Top Coat which I have also added. I was pleased with the outcome. This was a very pretty color and a nice sheen to it.This is with one coat of Megan with no top coat.
In natural sunlight
Under a Natural White light.

With the top coat added.

The other two colors that were in my Maven box, I'm not sure if a am super fond of them. I plan on swatching them soon though to make a final decision. We shall see!

Last is Nicole by OPI Love Your Life. This one I was very disappointed with. The formula seemed thick. While the small glitter was sparse, it wasnt bad considering that you will also have the large hearts. That is only if you can get them out of the bottle! I had to dig and fish out every heart. I got one out for each nail, but it was a but absurd. They didnt want to pick up with the brush and come out. Here is one coat on top of Butter Londons Queen Vic, one of my favorites in my collection! Be prepared to see it a lot!)

That's all I have to today ladies! Time for dinner with the fiance and bed! Good night!!
