Dollish Polish 1-UP

I am finally to the point of frustration with the weather changing and my my body just wont accept it!! After getting over the awful stomach bug I had all week last week, I end up with something close to an earache in both ears that last few days. I'm sure this one is allergy related as they have been bothering me more than usual this time of year. I don't know what the heck is in the air right now, but it really needs to settle down, or blow out of here so I can enjoy this weather as I like to!!

Latest exciting news, our wedding invitations arrive Monday! I am so excited and very nervous to see them all at once! We are ordering our cake topper this weekend as well. My mom found this amazing site that does custom toppers, and one that fits our theme perfectly! Last, but not least, I still haven't finished our Halloween costumes! haha! They always seem to be last minute for us for some unknown reason! I will be sewing my skirt tonight! We have to run to a couple of thrift stores for a blouse for me, and jeans for RJ. He also needs a white t-shirt, and I need to do a test run on his hair. I will definitely share photos of us all decked out this weekend!!

So lets get on to the polish already!!

Dollish Pollish! This little pretty comes from her Super Mario collection!

Halo Anyone? Dollish Polish Master Chief!!

First I have to say that I think my fiance was more excited about a nail polish named Master Chief than I was. I know who he is, and I am very familiar with Halo (and very very horrible at it), but it is his top favorite  game title. So when I mentioned that this was going to be a part of one of Dolish Polish's restocks - RJ was stalking the site with me to make sure we didnt miss out on a bottle. And yes, he is counting down to the release of Halo 4. haha!

This is 3 coats with no top coat added.

The fin part about this polish, was that I hadn't looked at other swatches for this in a while - so I had forgotten it was a holo. SO what a surprise it was when I unwrapped the bottle to see that not only was it a beautiful green, but it was holographic as well!

Pictures don't do this lovely lacquer justice!

Like all other Dollish Polish the formula is wonderful. The application was very smooth, with no pulling or dragging.

What to you think of this color?

Dollish Polish Putting on the Ritzzz! & Random Dancing

Today I bring you the last 2 Dollish Pollish that I have in line waiting to go! I have a lot of new goodies in my "untried bin" waiting to be added to my list, and swatched for you! Like I mentioned yesterday - I will be swatching like crazy! My poor nails will hate me!

So, on with the lovely Dollish Polish.

Dollish Polish - Putting on the Ritzzz! - 2 coats
Base Color: Zoya - Lara - 2 coats
Top Coat: NYC In a New Your Minute

This one is simple, but a classic! It is full of multiple sized black and white hex glitters. I love adding glitters like these to pastel colors to create a 50s style look - but this time I chose a brighter pink to exaggerate the contrast!

Dollish Polish - Random Dancing - 2 coats
Base Color: OPI - Alpine Snow - 2 coats
No Top Coat

Another very fun glitter! It took me forever to decide on a base color. I chose white as to not loose any of the bright glitters in this bottle! This one would be very very fun to use for a jelly sandwich!

As with the other Dollish lacquers I have shared, these have a wonder formula. They are very nice to work with and spread easily.

What would use these two very versatile gillters for?

Dollish Polish - Drop. Your. Sword. & Urban Camo

Today and tomorrow I will finish the last of the swatches that I have from Dollish Polish. These were all from a restock that she did in her store a few weeks ago and the have been waiting to be seen! We are headed to New Hampshire for a couple of days, so I am running today and tomorrow by scheduled posts. Sunday we will be home - and when I'm not sleeping - I will be swatching like a mad woman! RAWRZOR! haha!

Lets get on with the photos, shall we?

Dollish Polish - Drop. Your. Sword - 2 coats
Base Color: Essie - Borrowed & Blue - 2 coats
No Top Coat

This lovely polish is one of my favorites from Dollish. It is named in reference to The Princess Bride. If you havent seen this movie (IMDB), I highly recommend it. It you are a reader - read the book (wiki) and then watch the movie! Both are equal in pure awesomeness! Not only because of the reference, but it is such a wonderful and subtle shade all around.

But back to the lacquer. This is a beautiful light blue filled with a blue shimmer, and has several sizes of golfd glitter scattered throughout. To keep the glitter more subtle I opted for 2 coats, this also helsp show that the base is sheer enough to still allow for sparkle!

Dollish Polish - Urban Camo - 2 -3 coats
Base Color: Essie - Chinchilly - 2 coats
Top Coat - Seche Vite

This glitter is very fun! I chose to layer it over Chinchilly because it reminded me if a cement grey to go along with the name, Urban Camo. This has black, white, gold and silver hex glitters, black square glitter, and small black and neon green glitters. It is a very unusual mix of glitters that turns into an awesome package.

As with the other Dollish lacquers I have shared, these have a wonder formula. They are very nice to work with and spread easily.

What are your thoughts on these glitters? Would you use different base colors?

Dollish Polish Aurora Borealis & Spank You Very Much

Today I bring you 2 more little lovelies from Dollish Polish!

You can get the latest Dollish news on FaceBook
You can shop Dollish on BigCartel or at Llarowe

Dollish Polish - Aurora Borealis - 1 coat
Base Color: China Glaze - Liquid Leather - 2 coats
No Top Coat

This is an awesome shimmery duo-chrome topcoat. It is sheer and can give any color a lovely finish. It shifts between blue and purple. I chose to place it on black to exaggerate the color shift.

Dollish Polish - Spank You Very Much - 2 coats
Base Color: OPI - Skull and Gloss Bones - 3 coats
No Top Coat

This is a very pretty mixture of purple and teal glitters. I like that this is much more sparse than other glitters. As I listed above, this is 2 coats. So you have the freedom to make it light and subtle or you can just go crazy!!

As with the other Dollish lacquers I have shared, these have a wonder formula. They are very nice to work with and spread easily.

What base colors would you match these with?

Dollish Polish - Dark Elf!

Today I bring you the first of several posts of the next few days from Dollish Polish!

You can get the latest Dollish news on FaceBook
You can shop Dollish on BigCartel or at Llarowe

This is an all-Dollish mani! I almost named this post "Dark Elf Dining at the Pink Taco!" Little note about Arizona, we actually have a restaurant here named Pink Taco! But on with the photos!!

Dollish Polish - Dark Elf - one coat
Base Color: Dollish Polish - Dining at the Pink Taco
No Top Coat

This is a dense purple holographic glitter with sparse dark gold glitter. This has a sheer pink base to it, so after a couple of coats it would look very nice on its own.  Like her other glitters, it is a wonderful formula and very easy to work with.

What do you think of this glitter? Have you tried any Dollish Polish?

Dollish Polish Sweet Dreams & Expecto Patronum

Today I share with you a couple of minis from Dollish Polish! I really enjoy her "little bottles of love" as she calls them. They are truly full of love!

Very little to say, really - the formula is fantastic as always and very easy to work with! If you have a chance to catch her restocks - its worth the stalking - even if you catch only one lovely!

She can be found here: FaceBook   Blog   Store

Expecto Patronum Two Coats
Base Color - OPI Alpine Snow
No Top Coat

This is a glossy white with sky blue glitters - a perfect combo for the name!
For those who havent indulged on any form of Harry Potter, The Patronus Charm is a charm that evokes a partially-tangible, positive energy force known as a Patronus. Patronuses are also called spirit guardians. This incantation is, "Expecto Patronum." (definition courtesy of the Harry Potter Wiki)

Sweet Dreams Are Made Of Glitter Two Coats
Base Color - China Glaze Re-Fresh-Mint
No Top Coat

This one is truly a sweet dream! You start with a shimmery cool mint green and fill it scattered pink, green, blue, and purple glitters.

My Dollish Polish collection is quickly growing! Have you given your nails the dollish treatment lately? Whats your favorite of hers so far?

Dollish Polish Dolly Does Dallas Collection!! (Adult Themed Names!)

I must first start out by apologizing for taking way way WAY too long to get these swatches posted. Life got a little busy, and then we were out of town for a few days, but better late than never right?!

Before I go further I must warn there is some "Adult Content." While I promise all you will see  here listed is nail polish, and the eye candy they provide - the names of these colors are "Adult Themed." So on with the review and eye candy!

I have to admit that when I first saw Dollish Polish post about this collection - I was drawn to her "Adult Content" warning. I immediately thought to myself, "This has got to be good!" Little did I know it was AMAZING! I was hoping to get the full set, and then stepped back from the idea. My awesome fiance didnt, however, and ordered them all for me! ♥

This is a collection of bold shimmery shades that make an amazing statement. The formula rocks, and it opaque in 2-3 coats, I have a very defined visible nail line so the lighter shades require that third coat. The shimmer and sparkle of each color rocks! I did my very best to capture this in each shot, though photos truly  don't to these beauties justice, especially the last one!

Dollish Polish can be found on FB: http://www.facebook.com/Dollface22772 and also through her store on Big Cartel: http://dollishpolish.bigcartel.com/

So now on with the photos!

Dollish Polish - Dolly Does Dallas!

This was my "safe shot" I shared on FB upon receiving the collection - as not to upset anyone by reading the names - but provided a great idea of the colors!

Wait a minute! Whos paw is sneaking in there?!

OH! Thats right - the photo-bombing kitty - The Bonsai!

Lipstick Around Your Dipstick

A brilliant bold red with silver shimmer - much like a perfect lipstick shade!

Dining At the Pink Taco

A beautiful bubble gum pink with a bring pink shimmer

Check Out Those Sweaterpuffs
A rockin orange with an orange and yellow shimmer
(My other shot of this was eaten! Its nowhere to be found!)

Skeet, Skeet, Skeet
(Oh, the song this makes me think of! ha!)

A popping yellow with a fine green, yellow, and orange shimmer to it

Toss My Salad

I bright light green with a blue and green shimmer

Slippery When Wet

A bold light blue with a blue and silver shimmer

A Bad Case of Blue Balls

A loud blue with a blue and slight purple shimmer

The Walk of Shame

A true purple with a purple, pink, and blue shimmer

Baby Gravy

An amazing silvery white with a silver shimmer hinted with pink and light blue

Overall I am definitely in love with the entire collection! If I had to choose favorites, could narrow them down to Lipstick Around Your Dipstick, Dining At the Pink Taco, Bad Case of Blue Balls, And Baby Gravy. I think I favor these the most due to their rockin shimmer on top of the already bold colors, but don't get me wrong - I LOVE all these nine of these bold colors and the statement that they make. I definitely cant wait to try out her other lacquers!

Have you tried any of these beauties?
