Hello and Happy Holidays!

You can purchase this item here on HSN http://bit.ly/GT2CdC  and if you use the code IFabbo5 you will receive $5 off your first purchase of any Perlier products on HSN
I have to start out by saying that I was instantly in love with the lovely honey scent when I opened it up. I immediately put some on, and I was pleasantly surprised. You start with a light creamy texture that "melts" like butter as you rub it in. You aren't left with that greasy-like residue on your hands when your finished either.  One thing I really like, it seems to do very well with moisturizing as well. I tend to have VERY dry skin in the winter, much like everything else in AZ in this time of year. I can apply this in the morning before I leave for work - and I don't catch myself having to reapply lotion to my arms halfway through my workday. My other favorite part of using the creme, the wonderful rich honey sent and that it last as long as the moisture. If you love honey, and how it smells - you would enjoy this creme for sure!

The price on this is a bit on the higher side at $40 on HSN, however its far better than on Perliers site, there you will find if for $60. Its a bummer that its been sold out on HSN for a couple of weeks now, and I am sure that price difference might be the cause! While this isn't the best of the best that I've ever tired, it is definitely high up on my list. I could definitely see myself purchasing it (on HSN) when mine runs out. I use it a few times a week and since a little seems to go a long way, which make it easier to justify the price.

Have you tried any products from Perlier? Which was your favorite?

RJ Reviews HYD for Men Shaving Products!

Hello Ladies AND Gentlemen!

Today I have something very fun to share that you may want to pass along to the men in you home!

No Shave November is coming to an end with the holidays immediately around the corner. Its time to shave away those scruffy beards and mustaches that you've been able to enjoy for the last few weeks. What a better time to try something new and change up your routine!

Ladies - Cant think of what to get the man that buys everything he wants? (I have one of those too!) Consider picking this up as a stocking stuffer! Hes going to love it!

I've brought my ever supportive husband, RJ, in to try these out and share his thoughts about the HYD For Men shaving products.

---------------------------------------

New shaving products to try out? Sign me up! Today I have the new HYD For Men shaving products to share with you. Three simple items, a Buffer Stick (face exfoliator), the Shave Cream, and the Razor Shield (razor oil.) With these items, it really keeps my shaving routine simple.

Where can you find these? HYD For Men
And if you use the code: SAVE20 you will receive 20% off your first purchase!

HYD for Men Shaving Products
(These arrived in boxes, but RJ was so excited to try these out I never had the chance to grab them!)

First up, the Buffer Stick. With this, face exfoliation has never been easier. Just enough grit to work the skin, but not to much to cause irritation. Splash a little water on your face and go to town. Be sure to apply a little pressure to actually take advantage of the exfoliation. Rinse off with some cold water and it leaves you face feeling nice and refreshed.

Next, the Shave Cream. I really like this formula. It feels nice and light with the right amount of lather. It also has a very light and clean scent to it. The HYD For Men Shave Cream doesn't seen to go quite as far but that is expected. My shaving routine before consisted of a pre-shave oil and a more traditional shave cream. Shaving with this is nice and easy. Without using a pre-shave oil, this cream still helps the blades slide nice and smooth against the skin. The cream does not get all gunky in between the blades and rinses out with a breeze. If you are the type of person that just uses a shaving gel, you might want to give this a try. I've given up on using gel shaving creams over a year ago and I wouldn't go back. This Shave Cream would be a very nice and easy transition away from the gels.

Finally, the Razor Shield. Now, I've never used a product like this before but I love the idea of it and the science behind is something that I can really get behind and support. After every shave I've been applying this to the blades. I started off with a new set of blades about four weeks ago and to me, the blades still feel and look like new. My Razor doesn't seem to have very much, if any build-up on the blades at all. Take into account that I only shave about twice a week, but I usually start to feel some pull by this time from dulling. As soon as I’m done shaving, I rinse off the blades a final time and then apply the product to them.

Overall, this is a great line up. I would recommend the HYD For Men line to anyone that is looking into changing up their routine with better products. The ease and quality of these products makes for a great combination that is very hard to pass up. If you’re still using a gel shaving cream, it might be time to toss that can and get your hands on the HYD Shave Cream at the very least. Your face will thank you.

A designer jewelery try and buy? RocksBox Review!

Hello Beauties!

While I was away I had the opportunity to sign up for RocksBox. If you're a subscription box junkie like I am, I know you're already interested! This one really is awesome!

With Rocksbox you receive 3 pieces of designer jewelry, averaging over $200 per set. These pieces are matched, so you can wear them all together or individually. You get up to 60 days to wear your jewelry, decide if you wish to purchase them, or send them back for a new set!

I think this is a very fun subscription to try out. I find that I tend to get bored with my jewelry, I will wear it constantly for a couple of weeks, and then I am looking for something new or different. So Rockbox is a much less expensive option for someone like me. If I do find something that I cant live without, as a member, I can purchase that item 20% off of the retail price.

When you open your envelope you find this super cute box!

These are the pieces I received in my last box!

GorjanaTaner Bar Small Necklace in Sterling Silver
CC Skye Double Header Pave Spike Bracelet in Silver
Lucas Jack Geometry Earrings in Rhodium

What makes RocksBox so fun, is that you can easily send your current box back for a new one anytime, up to 60 days. When you get your box, it comes with a prepaid postage return envelope. SO you just pack everything back up and withing a couple of weeks you have something fresh and new! They have a email notification system that is very handy as well, and you only get emails to let you know whats going on, such as; when your returned box was received, when your new one is on your way, and when you are near your 30 and 60 day marks.

The details? www.RocksBox.com

The Monthly membership fee is $19/month, $17/mo for 6 months, or $15/mo for a year. With any of these options you can cancel at anytime and they will refund the remaining share of your membership. You can also receive credits for your purchase by referring friends or family and also by sharing photos of you wearing your jewelry on Instagram or FaceBoox and tagging Rocksbox.

Have you tried RocksBox? What do you think of it?

Review: Lizzie Starr Hair Ties!

Hello Beauties! I hope all of you are having a good start to your new year! Mine has been a little hectic, but I'm sure I can blame that on all the wedding planning! It is a very busy month on top of it too, but lots of excitement! I apologize in advance for my sporadic posting the last couple of weeks, but that should be over and I should be back into my groove over the next week!

Big things in store for you all at the end of the month! I am very excited about it! It will be a giveaway you wont want to miss!

Let me tell you about LizzieStarr Hair Ties! I ordered some of these a couple months ago, and I just love them! A while back I received a twistband hairtie from BirchBox. It was just awful - It constantly slid out of my hair - no matter how many times I was able to wrap it. I have a lot of hair, and its heavy, so I am still one of those people who rock scrunchies (not the big fluffy ones from the 90s though!) because its one of the few things that will actually keep my hair in a pony.

These little elastics rock! They stay in my hair, no sliding at all, and the best part is that these don't leave those goofy looking creases in your hair! Not to mention they even look cute on your wrist if you dont need it at the time.

The Info:
You can get the latest updates about LizzieStarr on Facebook
Shop for LizzieStarr HairTies at her Etsy Store or Website

Lizzie Starr Hair Ties

I have tell you that she i the sweetest person to work with! She even included a hand written note with the order!

Lizzie Starr Hair Ties

I picked up this pack of hair ties and she also included a headband to try out! You know those elastic headbands that are "no slip"? Yeah...they don't even stay on my head. So I asked her if I could order just one because I didn't want a full pack, she was  awesome enough to put one in for me to try out!

I have had the same success with the headbands! They stay in! No I haven't tried the pony or bun with the headband (you know, to keep the flyaways out of your face) but its stays with my hair down! And for an elastic head band that's awesome! I will be definitely picking up a pack when I order again!

Lizzie Starr Hair Ties

Check out this cutest thing ever! She added this to my order as well! Its a plastic ornament full of these awesome little ties! I actually gave this to my mom for Christmas!

I've seen these online and also in stores, but for some reason I'm hooked on these! Maybe because they actually stay in my hair? I'm not sure what it is, but if you are looking for a new tie for that pony - give these little guys a try!

Review: Silk Body Cream

Hello Beauties! I have to admit, while working a 10 hour day is nice when you see that paycheck, but its not fun to get to work when its dark, and leave when its dark. Walking in that next morning feels a little strange too. Its always that "Didnt I just leave this place?" feeling as you get open the door.

Valerie with Silk Body Cream sent this amazingly rich body cream to try out. Her super rich lotions come in many many different scents. The scent I tried was ChaChaSugar, which smelled like sugar cookies to me. It smelled wonderful, and subtle.

Silk Body Cream
You can visit her shop here

This truly feels more like a rich cream than it does a lotion. I have been using it for the last week and it leaves my skin feeling soft and smelling wonderful!

Silk Body Cream

The ingredient list is natural and short, Cream, Olive Oil, AloeVera, Shea Butter, Vitamin E, and fragrance. And for your fragrance selection, your are sure to find something that you like. In fact, it may be difficult to choose only one!

She also offers foaming hand soap, body oil, body spray, and candles!

I would definitely recommend checking her site out and trying one of these silky creams!

Review: Pretty & Polished Cuticle Oil!

Hello Lovelies!

Today I have a wonderful addition to anyone's nightstand or desk - Cuticle oil!! Pretty & Polished has started offering cuticle oil in fun and wonderful scents. Honestly, I have some kind of cuticle oils or balm on my night stand, my home desk, my work desk, my makeup bag, and in my purse. Even the finance has a cuticle oil on his desk. Its a staple in this family!

The Info:
You can get the latest updates about Pretty & Polished on Facebook
Read the latest news about Pretty & Polished on her Blog
Shop for Pretty & Polished at her Etsy Store

The cuticle oil is $6.00 for a 6 mL roller ball

Pretty & Polished Cuticle Oil in Fruit Punch

This is what I received, however she offers this in a handy dandy little roller ball (PERFECT for purses ladies!) The scent - Fruit Punch! I love the scent on this. It isn't overwhelming or strong at all. It is very subtle, but has that nice sweet fruity scent. This honestly arrived in the best time, as winters in AZ get very dry. My cuticles take a beating and so do my nails! I have been using this every evening since it arrived and it has worked amazingly. I think I might be falling in love with the scent as well! I am getting a little worn on the citrus scented balms and oils, so it has made a wonderful change.

Pretty & Polished
I LOVE that she now has her own printed nail files! They are super adorable!!

Honestly, If you are running low on what you're currently using, or have been thinking about picking up some kind of cuticle oil or balm, I recommend checking Pretty & Polished out! This are wonderful and the price is very reasonable!

Review: Alex Cole Designs Nail Tattoos & Decals

Hello Lovelies! Today I have a very mixed review on the different types of nail decals   offered by Alex Cole. I found the seller on Etsy and found the designs super cute and very inexpensive. At the time time when I ordered these they included a small sheet of the nail tattoos in Julep's October Maven box.

The Info:
You can shop for Alex Cole Designs on Etsy

Here is what I tried, and my experiences with each.

Review: Alex Cole Nail Tattoos & Decals
Here are the 3 that I picked up when I ordered. Candy Corn & Thanksgiving themed nail tattoos and Moustache decals.

Review: Alex Cole Nail Tattoos & Decals
These are the Halloween themed nail tattoos included with the Julep October Maven box.

Review: Alex Cole Nail Tattoos & Decals
So the instructions included with the Halloween nail tattoos were to cut closely around the image, drop onto water for a couple of seconds, and then rub the piece between your fingers for it to separate from the paper.

Review: Alex Cole Nail Tattoos & Decals
So, this is only after getting the paper wet. The ink ran and faded off. No good at all!

Review: Alex Cole Nail Tattoos & Decals
And here was the finished product. I was hoping it was a fluke and tried a couple other times using different methods, only to get the same sad results. I hope that the other Mavens didn't have the same sad sheet that I did.

Review: Alex Cole Nail Tattoos & Decals
My next attempt was with the Candy Corn nail tattoos. This went a little smoother. It gave the same instructions as the sheet before, only the image didn't wash away! The only thing different about these is that the images were very opaque. So on black nail polish, it was lost.

Review: Alex Cole Nail Tattoos & Decals
This is over 2 coats of Layla Mercury Twilight. So, not bad, but not great. The tattoo paper seems a little thick and as I will mention below, it doesn't want to stay flat.

Alex Cole Nail Tattoos & Decals
My last attempt is with the Thanksgiving themed nail tattoos. Just as with the candy corn design, same instructions. This one I tried wearing for a few days. After less than 2 days of wear (and a top coat) the tattoos seems to start peeling up in the sides. I have tried some other nail tattoos with far better results and longevity, for a similar price.

Alex Cole Nail Tattoos & Decals

While I haven't tired the mustaches yet but I did peel one off to see how it worked. These were small decals vs nail tattoos. Seemed fairly easy to work with. Another review will come for that one, as I want to see how long it will last as well.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend these if you are looking for nail art tattoos. I really hope that someone else may have had better results than I have but I wont be getting them again. I do hope that the decals offer better results!

Have you tried these? How did it work out for you?

Review: Bath & Body Works Fall Mini Candle

This is the first of a few posts this even to share some of the awesome products I received in my 2012 Beauty Bloggers VoxBox from Influenster.

The first one I have is this very awesome mini candle from Bath & Body Works

The Info: Highly fragranced candle exclusively developed and tested by our team of Home Fragrance experts, including the world's best master perfumers. Made using the highest concentration of fragrance oils, an exclusive blend of vegetable wax and lead-free wicks for optimal performance
  • Mini Candle $3.50 - 1.3 oz. candle burns 10 to 15 hours
  • Small Candle $9.50 - 4 oz. candle burns approximately 20 to 30 hours
  • Medium Candle $12.50 - 7.5 oz candle burns approximately 30 hours
  • 3-Wick Candle $19.50 - 3-wick candle burns approximately 30 to 45 hours

The scent: White Barn No.1 Nutmeg and Spice

This scent is AMAZING! First off we have several of Bath & Body Works candles scattered all over the apartment, along with their wallflowers in every room! This scent is a mix of nutmeg, and spiced caramel however I think its a little more of a vanilla scent over the caramel.

If you are one to reaches for vanilla, cinnamon & clove, or any of the baked goods scents, I recommend you give this one a try!

My ONLY complaint about the Bath & Body Works candles - they dont offer tealights!!

What is your favorite Bath & Body Works candle scent?

Review: Goody Simple Styles Spin Pins

For my next review, I have another awesome treat from my Beauty Bloggers VoxBox!

I cant explain how amazing these are! Having long hair and needing it out of my face when I am running errands or working around the house - these are quick, easy and give awesome results!

These are Goody's Simple Styles Spin Pins

Where can you find them? $7.29 at Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreen’s, Kroger, Duane Reade

It comes with these two little metal cork screw looking pins. The come on a card with instructions as well.

Here they are:

You twist your hair into a bun with out using any additional hair ties, tuck the ends under, and then twist in these little screws, one from each side, and a little close to your head to secure it.

It took me a couple tries to figure them out. I honestly love them. Those of you with long hair know that in a pony tail it can get heavy sometimes - and in a bun that second hair tie just seems to weigh it down more. These eliminate anything to weigh it down, but still offer a secure hold.

A quick shot if them in my hair.

Honestly - I freaking love these!! I want to tell everyone I know with long hair about them!

Have you used these before? Do you love them as much as I do?
